  • Masjid Dhai Seerhee, Panja (guest) wrote 18 years ago:
I want to add more light on Masjid Dhai Seedhi, its true that this masjid is the most smallest and first masjid of Bhopal it also used to serve as the highest point for keeping an eye on the enemies from invading or attaching Bhopal City, if you go there you can have a wonderful view of entire Bhopal City, from Eidgah Hills to Piplani and from Islam Nagar(Dost Mohammad Khan's first fort) to the Hills of Kolar. In olden days the rulers made high view points to keep an eye on all kinds of movements in and around the city. Dost Mohammad Khan was very pious, respected and religious ruler. He built up many mosques in and around city, Masjid Dhai Seedhi is among the oldest masjid of his reign, May ALLAH give him the best rewards for his deeds. Next to Masjid Dhai Seedhi there is his and her wife's tomb, which is now under ruins and under the captivity of government and the so-called Archaelogical Survey of India. Bhopal can be more beautiful then Switzerland or Mauritius, but the black sheep in the government and dirty politics making it worse place to live, the historical places like Taj Mahal, Fatehgarh Fort, Islam Nagar Fort, the Tombs of Dost Mohammad Khan, a unique and beautiful piece of Mughal Architecture is either encroached or become a piece of dirty politics. SAVE BHOPAL SAVE NATURE, ITS A GIFT FROM GOD, JUST SEE ITS BEAUTY, ITS LAKES, HILLS AROUND, ITS LANDSCAPES, AND ITS PEOPLE ALL ARE WONDERFUL.
